Mission Statement “Saint Bridget School is deeply rooted in the Catholic traditions. Our collaborative environment nurtures academic excellence, social responsibility, and Christian values in a changing and challenging world. Saint Bridget School partners with families and our Church to develop the whole person within a community of faith.” We are dedicated to providing a complete, well-rounded education for students rooted in the Catholic Faith. We offer a community that cares deeply about the school and the children’s education and spiritual development. Families are partners in their children's education and benefit from one of the most competitive academic environments in the MetroWest area. School History Saint Bridget School is blessed with a rich history. Our school’s founding dates back to 1956 when plans were introduced for the establishment of a parish parochial elementary school. The school was completed and formally dedicated on September 14, 1958 by the then Most Reverend Richard J. Cushing D.D., Archbishop of Boston. The 2018-2019 academic year marks our 60th year of educating students in Metowest. We are incredibly proud of the long-lasting impact we have made, not only in the lives of our students but in the surrounding community as well. The school was originally staffed by the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Archdiocese of Boston from the opening of the school until the end of the 1973-1974 school year, when the Sisters of Saint Joseph were recalled by the order. Through the support of many parishioners and three Sisters of Saint Joseph who chose to stay, the school remained open and served hundreds of students. We began the 2021-2022 school year under a new Principal, Mrs. Marilena Martucci. Principal Martucci has been in Catholic education for over 20 years, serving in both the Diocese of Bridgeport and the Archdiocese of Hartford at the grammar, middle and high school level. “I firmly believe that every child can excel, and the partnership between home and school is essential for students to learn. We are preparing our graduates from Saint Bridget School to be confident and ready for life’s next steps”.
